To improve infrastructure, provide education, and foster community’s well-being BASTOB has played a role in the light engineering sector. In the Dholaikhal and Zinzira cluster BASTOB has established Hygiene Toilet and Model Workshops so that the overall culture of the community gets better.
Establishment of Hygiene Toilet Facilities:
BASTOB has already build two toilets in two clusters where the micro enterprise owners and workers are using them for a better hygiene facility and it is also making their work environment better in nature.
Establishment and Demonstration of Model Workshops:
BASTOB has created more than 20 Model Workshops which are showcasing workshops that serve as examples of best practices or efficient operations in a light Engineering sector.
2. Trainings and Workshops:
These are educational sessions designed to impart specific knowledge and skills to participants. They can be categorized as follows:
Trainings:
– Training on Accounts and Business Management: Teaching individuals how to manage financial accounts and operate a business effectively.
– Training on Environment Certification: Instructing on the process and requirements for environmental certification.
– Training on Product Certification: Educating participants on the certification process for products.
– Training on Product Sale and Use of Modern Machineries: Providing knowledge on how to sell products and operate modern machinery.
Workshops:
– Workshop with Different Relevant Authorities: Collaborative sessions involving various relevant authorities to address specific issues or topics.
– Workshop on use of Uncertified Chemical and Low-Quality Materials: Focusing on the risks and consequences of using uncertified or substandard materials.
– Workshop with Value Chain Actors: Engaging with stakeholders across the value chain to improve processes and relationships.
– Fire-Safety Workshop: Educating on fire safety measures and prevention.
3. Environment Club:
An organized group or community dedicated to environmental awareness and action. This may involve activities such as meetings and observing special days related to the environment.

Day Observations:
Commemorating specific days or events related to the environment, often with educational or awareness-raising activities.
4. Baseline and Endline Video Documentary:
A video recording or documentary that captures the initial state or conditions of a project, often used for comparison and evaluation later on.
5. Product Promotional Activities:
Actions taken to market and promote products. This can include various strategies such as:
– Leaflet: Creating informative pamphlets or brochures to distribute to potential customers.
– Logo: Designing a recognizable symbol or emblem for a product or brand.
– Packaging: Developing attractive and functional packaging for products.
6. Business Fair:
An event where businesses and entrepreneurs showcase their products and services to potential customers, partners, and investors. BASTOB arranged a business fair with the MEs from Dholaikhal and Zinzira Cluster and got a lot exposure about their products in the Market.
7. Exchange Visit:
A program where individuals or groups visit another location or organization to learn, share experiences, and build relationships. BASTOB visited GUK in their SEP Machinery and Equipment Sub-Project and learned a lot.
8. Revenue Generating Common Services:
These are services that generate income or revenue and are typically shared or used by multiple individuals or entities. With BASTOB’s Soft Loan Several entrepreneurs in the Dholaikhal and Zinzira Cluster has purchased modern machineries and providing common service to the other micro enterprises who are not capable of purchasing or getting the said service.

9. Helping ME’s receive Certification:
BASTOB has helped many MEs’ to receive Trade Licenses. The main achievement came to BASTOB when we were able to help MOS Design and Manufacture receive ISO 9001:2015 Certificate.
